Meet Sophia the most advance humanlike robot

Hanson Robotics is the leader in creating the most humanlike robots with a full range of human facial expressions. It is led by founder and CEO, Dr. David Hanson and has, in fact, created a robot capable of emulating over 62 facial expressions, has face and speech recognition, eye contact face-tracking, has conversational capabilities (through the utilization of the latest artificial intelligence software), and many other functions.

In the video below, you will see Dr. Hanson actually having a conversation with Sophia. You can see the changes in her expression as she speaks and it's pretty amazing to watch. According to Hanson Robotics, her lifelike skin is made from patented silicon whilst her looks are inspired by the late British actress, Audrey Hepburn and Dr. Hanson's wife.

Currently, only two teams are developing humanlike robots on the planet: Hanson Robotics and Hiroshi Ishiguro Laboratories.

But if you're worried that this robot might run amok like how the robots did in the famous "Terminator" movie franchise, Dr. Hanson said that they "are designing these robots to serve in health care, therapy, education and customer service applications" and not "destroy us".

Although that little joke in the end got us at the edge of our seats.

A petition demanding that ABS-CBN be disqualified from hosting debates for supposedly being biased was launched at Change.org The petition is signed by nearly 29, 000 supporters The petitioner also accused ABS-CBN of being loyal to the Aquinos and alluded to Korina Sanchez’s close association with the Lopez network MANILA, Philippines – A petition demanding that the ABS-CBN network be disqualified from hosting election debates due to the station’s alleged bias was launched last week at Change.org and is quickly earning support from signatories. The petition was started by one Figo Santos from Marikina City on February 22 and has now gained nearly 29,000 online signatures. “Due to their Obvious BIAS stand and track record on being an LP Puppet, let’s all join and make a stand to disqualify ABS-CBN on hosting the Nationwide Presidential Debate scheduled on them. Let it be moved to CNN Philippines instead,” the petition read. The petitioner and some signatories has accused the Kapamilya network of being biased in favor of administration and Liberal Party (LP) bet Mar Roxas and Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo. Most of the comments alluded to Roxas’ wife Korina Sanchez’s close association with the television giant which is owned by the Lopez family. “Remember, Ms. Korina Sanchez is an institution sa ABS-CBN at asawa siya ni Mar Roxas [and she is Mar Roxas’ wife],” Figo wrote. The petitioner also did not spare the TV station whom they accuse of being loyal to the Aquinos (referring to the incumbent president and his mother, Cory.) “ABS CBN’s loyalty to the Aquinos is so entrench that they have lost all objectivity when the news purports to them. This Media outlet knows how to control the nationwide news,” the petitioner added. The petitioner went to the extent of suggesting that in case the Kapisanan ng Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) and the Commission on Election (Comelec) won’t agree on disqualifying ABS-CBN from hosting the debate, the citizens must try to convince the other presidentiables (Binay, Duterte, Poe and Santiago) not to attend the event. The Comelec has scheduled debates for the presidential candidates before the election dubbed as “Pilipinas Debates 2016”. The very first one was held last February 21 in Cagayan De Oro City and hosted by media partners GMA Network and Inquirer. The second presidential debate is set on March 20 at the Univeristy of the Philippines (UP)–Cebu with TV5, Philippine Star and Businessworld as media partners. The last and final debate will be held April 24 at University of Pangasinan to be hosted by ABS-CBN and Manila Bulletin. Meanwhile, the only debate set for vice presidential candidates will be held on April 10 at the University of Santo Tomas with CNN Philippines, Rappler and Business Mirror as media partners.

Panahon ng May Tama: #ComiKilig was a hilarious Valentine concert held last February 13, 2016 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. It was a comedy show with song and dance numbers featuring Gladys "Chuchay" Guevarra, Boobsie Wonderland, Ate Gay and Papa Jack under the direction of Andrew de Real.

In the video below, you could see one of the comedy skits Ate Gay did with guest Boobay, who is best known for appearing as a regular host on the game show Celebrity Bluff.

It started with Boobay telling Ate Gay that she was indeed beautiful because she looked like a lot of Filipino celebrities - one side looks like Carla Abellana, the other like Marian Rivera while the front view looked like Vic Sotto.

Then they proceeded asking help from one of the audience - a guy named Chris, because, as they said, acting is better done with a handsome partner! They proceeded doing AlDub-style dubsmash acting. We won't spoil it anymore, so better click play and watch their skit instead!

The audience's telling loud laughs in the background were sure indicators that they were a hit! And we're sure you’ll be laughing along them too!

Man Dressed-up like a Beggar in a Marathon,.. The reason why will Surely Touch your Heart

A viral photo captured the hearts of the netizens. Not because of the effect or the scenery but it is because of a man who decided to spread out a message to the people. 

As seen on the photo, the man who looks like a homeless man or a beggar that you would usually see on the streets. 

This photo was taken at the Run United 1 marathon. According to the witnesses who have tagged this man as 'beggarman', the marshals were about to pull him out of the marathon because of the way he looks. 

They thought that he was someone who just gatecrashed the event. But to their surprise, he was a valid runner named Larry Ronquillo who has a valid race bib. 

He made a statement by dressing up as a homeless man. While he was running, he was picking up the garbages that were left out by the other racers. 

Larry is not your ordinary citizen because he is a dual-thlete that has a message to all runners.

Meet Qian Hongyan, from the province of Yunnan, South West China, made the headlines in 2005 when she was captured 'walking' with the help of a basketball. According to some news sites, that same young woman has before been already a champion swimmer with Paralympic dreams.

It is stated that in 2009, the amazing and awesome girl became a national champion in the Chinese National Paralympics Swimming Competition. And lately, just this last September, she won another gold medal in the 100m breaststroke final in the Yunnan Province Paralympic Games. Let us take a closer look on her very inspiring story.

Our amazing girl, who was forced to use half a basketball as her prosthetic body, has inspired millions of people around the world with her ambition to compete as a swimmer in the 2012 Paralympics in London. Qian is said to have swam about 2000 meters a day and trains really hard.

“Qian Hongyan studies hard. She never grouches in training, although she was confronted with many difficulties at the beginning, ” her coach said.

It is reported that Qian was injured tragically in an auto accident when she was only 3 years old. To insure her survival, the doctors were forced to amputate her legs. Qian’s family, living in Zhuangxia, China, was unable to afford modern prosthetics and instead used a half a basketball to get around on.

Once at the ball, she uses two wooden props to help her move around. Qian now has a pair of proper prosthetic legs, but still says she likes to use the basketball from time to time as it is easier for her to get in and out of the pool with. What a very humble and down-to-earth woman.

This is very inspiring, especially to those people with disabilities and all of the people who have shortcomings within their lives, all of us, should I say. But, in  amazement of what this unfathomable desire to overcome challenges, I therefore conclude that we must also do our best in every simple way we can and our dreams will follow.
